WORKSHOP LOG / 13 SEPTEMBER 2026
The workshop
is ready.
Tonkro 1.0 is a complete iPad music workstation built for playful, recoverable music making.
Version 1.0
- Playable sound engines, sampler, drum pads, and four-macro sound editing.
- Sound, Envelope, Effect, and Motion pages with illustrated musical machinery.
- Seven persistent sequencer personalities with playable editors and print-to-track.
- Eight-track recording, piano-roll and waveform editing, mixing, stems, audio export, and portable project bundles.
- Two-deck DJ performance with beat grids, sync, key lock, cues, loops, recording, and print-to-tape.
- Touch and MIDI input, controller mappings, patch memory, project recovery, and Reduce Motion support.
On the help bench
Six field-guide chapters cover first steps, sound shaping, drums and sequencing, recording, mixing, and external samples and MIDI. A repair bench and privacy notice explain where to get help and what information is shared.
Know before you lean on it
- Paid sample-library listings remain previews rather than completed purchases.
- Independent DJ headphone cue requires a verified four-output audio interface.
- The website’s interactive demo is a small taste rather than the complete iPad instrument.
Keep an exported project bundle before important sessions and upgrades. Need a hand? Write to the workshop.
